The “Green Hills” bike sharing service allows you to rent classic or pedal-assisted electronic bicyclesin a completely automated way.
How does it work?
To rent a bike, you will need to download the Weelo app and look for the bike sharing station closest to you on the map. Once you reach it, you will have to enter the number of the column from which you want to collect the bike on the app. Wait for the green light to flash and beep. Wait for the sequence of accelerated ‘beeps’: you can now unhook the bike, lifting it slightly and pulling it firmly to the right.
How much does the service cost?
To rent the bike, you can choose between two payment methods, both by credit card:
– Rechargeable: €15 credit included, without expiration. You pay only for the time of use, equal to €3 per hour or fraction of hour.
– Annual subscription: €50, valid for 365 days. The amount includes €40 fixed fee and €10 credit included. Usage time is €2 per hour or fraction of hour, with half an hour free for each rental. Have you run out of credit? Top-up starting from €5.
How do I return the bike?
You can return the bike to the bike sharing station where you picked it up or to another Green Hills station. Insert the bike into one of the free columns and make sure it remains firmly anchored; the three ‘beeps’ with green light confirm the redelivery.
